The term is adopted from another language, not appearing in early Greek elsewhere but understood in modern Greek from its Biblical usage. -- "Bed" is from a word used in the Bible that means a pallet or a camp bed. The Greeks had a different word for this type of bed at the time. It is used by Jesus only hear. In the three different versions of this verse, three different Greek words appear for "bed" or "couch."
