Apparently, there were not rules against double dipping in Jesus's time.
This verse is a good example of how Bible translators prefer to create complete written sentences instead of capturing the spoken word (see this article). All translations add words and change verbs to make Jesus's spoken language sound written. This is bad writing in story telling, but it is even worse in writing history.
This statement reads like an explanation the last part of the previous verse, Mark 14:18, but a spoken not written explanation. It is a perfectly normal oral statement, especially as an answer to a question, but the written sentence is something slightly stilted, which is often the case in reading the Bible.
Notice how the first "of" phrase here is truly an "of" phrase, not the preposition mistranslated as "of" in the previous verse. Again, this seems very intentional.
Some versions of the oldest Greek texts has the word meaning "one" before "bowl" giving it the meaning of the "same" bowl. While the majority of old texts do not, I think it makes Jesus's meaning clearer.
